This Hideaway Fan Coil design removes the equipment from the space and lends itself to drop-ceiling applications.  This design is a time-proven, and widely accepted.  The design necessitates some field duct-work and 220V electrical service.  These can be controlled by several different types of heat/cool thermostats.

Available in 12,000 BTU/HR through 60,000 BTU/HR capacities.

115v versions also available - they come with a 2kw heating element.

Fan coil units are supplied with the necessary two-way valves, fittings and insulated piping to tie into the chiller supply and return trunk lines.

You really shouldn't cool with the heating tubes in a wood floor because the tubes could sweat and cause water damage in the wood structure or sheetrock.  In a very dry climate you can use cold water to cool in a concrete slab under certain conditions.  You will still need fans or air movement for comfort and the cold water has to have some place to go.
